RICA for Businesses and Corporate SIMs
< 1 min read
RICA applies to SIMs used by companies and organisations, not only to individuals.
How corporate SIMs are registered #
A business SIM is registered against an authorised representative of the organisation. The registration links the SIM to a real, identifiable person who acts on the company’s behalf.
What is required #
- The organisation’s registration or company details
- The authorised representative’s valid ID or passport
- Proof of address, where required
Managing multiple SIMs #
Businesses that manage fleets of SIMs — such as delivery, field service or IoT deployments — should keep an accurate register of which SIM belongs to which representative and ensure every new SIM is verified before activation.
Why it matters #
Accurate corporate registration prevents SIMs from being issued under incorrect or unverifiable identities and keeps the business compliant.
